Ultimate Beverage Challenge 91 points - 2018 Ultimate Wine Challenge - Stately and elegant wine with a nose of brambly blackberry, cedar, tobacco leaf, and anise. Structured tannins frame ripe plum and black cherry with hints of herbs and oak that build on the finish along with hints of black currant.
The new M de Magnol is made by the Barton & Guestier team of winemakers, led by Laurent Prada, using Château Magnol vinification guidelines. It is said to meet a demand for approachable and fruity Bordeaux wines.
M de Magnol, an AOC Bordeaux, is a blend of ripe Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (30%). It has aromas of red berries (redcurrant, raspberry, strawberry) and is said to provide a long fruity and vanilla after taste.
M de Magnol comes in a conical bottle with red foil on the label. Its retail price is US$15 (€12).
Château Magnol (Haut-Médoc AOC and Cru Bourgeois) and Les Charmes de Magnol (Médoc AOC and Bordeaux Blanc AOC) will also be featured at the IAADFS show.
